Wild Mint

Mentha arvensis

Down at the river, on those soft warm summer days at Robinwood, you can smell the mint floating on the breeze. It grows in a reliable patch on the river rocks, and in the spring when the river retreats, the little tiny mint garden begins to grow… and don’t be fooled by their diminutive size! This is some of the most potent, widly pungent mint I’ve ever tasted or smelled. It is bright, and absolutely invigorating. A small amount will deliciously flavour any less palatable tea.  Mint is known to support digestion, relieve gas and cramping, calm tension and irritability, and fight infection.
