Dear Reader,
This is a very special book of firsts. It's the first time my son and I have collaborated together to create a book. We both love poetry and we both delighted in a simple rhyming riddle about a bunny that we found in one of his books (A Child's Seasonal Treasury by Betty Jones) so we decided to make up some of our own riddles to follow.
The illustrations and hand written text in this book are Arrowynn's firsts as well. He is 3 and a half years old, and already is the best little partner a book-making Mumma like me could ever dream of. With a bit of guidance, and some editing for alignment with some of the words, he was able to write and draw each animal you see.
I hope this book brings a smile to your face, the silly rhymes and playful purpose, and thehonest depictions of these beloved animals drawn by a very sweet little boy.And I hope it calls you to remember and honour your own child's firsts, and how fast it all happens. How fast we all grow.
