The point of this photo is the blank canvas in the corner. A new painting spot all set up in the midst of a circus. In the midst of daily life, of hearth building for the bus’s new wood stove, of end of year album-making, of laundry and grocery and schedules, and dogs. In the midst of online selling season, and fort building and Smurf villages and Christmas decorating and kitchen cleaning.

Sometimes I sing when I work.

A tincture is just a fancy name for an infusion of aromatic, flavourful, nourishing and medicinal herbs in alcohol.

One of my favourite photos ever. And I have so. many. photos. Sometimes I go into the archives and try to sort out what to do with them all. And, just like all good memories, I get dopamine hit, an aching surge of nostalgia, an overwhelming feeling of time rushing by, and this beautiful life too short.
